![]() AND I don't see the IAC buss showing up in Reaper either. and the virtual MIDI ports thing seems like it's only for PC. Nothing shows up in the rewire plugin in the "MIDI send to Rewire" page, when I click on the channels except: and Master Keyboard.Īt this point it's sheer curiousity, as being limited to 16 channels won't work. I still can't get any MIDI going through rewire. I guess I was hoping it had been fixed by now. I did see some posts about people having Rewire issues. I don't recommend either of them, so I've just been doing everything in Reaper. You have two options, and both carry a hefty fine: (1) you buy virtual MIDI ports like loopbe30 or (2) you live with it and only use 16 MIDI in channels from your slave. Don't take my word for it, but the only reason I can see Cockos doing this is because someone may have leaked Propellorhead's plans to them. Since ReWire is really Propellorhead's technology, there's nothing that Cockos can do until they actually implement the feature. I understand your frustration, but have you searched the forums for previous posts yet? A lot of people have struggled with the same issue or ).Īs it turns out, Cockos has improperly labeled their ReWire interface in that MIDI TO THE SLAVE has not yet been implemented. hence my LONG multi-part question here.Īnyone? Is there simply no way to get more than 16 MIDI channels using Reaper and Rewire? The downloadable manual says VERY little about Rewire in Reaper. how do I get to those other 15 MIDI ports? even if I could get the Bidule plugin to be active on more than one channel. So how does one get more than one MIDI track into Bidule (or any rewire app).įurthermore, I currently have Bidule setup to publish 16 MIDI ports. In addition, if I try and put the Bidule Rewire FX instance on any other track I get a box that says "the following plugins could not be activated" and it shows Bidule Rewire. what am I suppose to select here? What I want is to have MIDI information (notes, CC data, etc.) on a track in Reaper, and have that get sent to Bidule which is where I'm hosting all my instances of Kontakt and other various soft synths and samplers. If I click on that, a popup window appears that says and Master Keyboard. In the "MIDI to send to Rewire" column I see:Ĭhannel 1 on the left and Bus 0 Chan 0 on the right If I create a new track in Reaper, go to the FX tab, go into the Rewire section and choose Bidule. but I'm trying to use Reaper as a Rewire Master with Plogue Bidule running as a Rewire Slave. I can easily get Reaper to work as a Rewire slave and route audio from Reaper into say. I don't really get how Reaper works with Rewire.
